Node.js Developer

EXCORP.GG develops a suite of gaming-related services, including a skin trading platform, a training and analytics service for CS, game servers with gamification features, and a business gamification platform. The XPlay team focuses on building and maintaining a core backend platform that powers gaming services, handling payments, subscriptions, inventory, trades, and external integrations.

• Develop and maintain backend functionality using Node.js;
• Manage product logic including subscriptions, payments, in-game economy, Battle Pass, challenges, inventory, and trades;
• Integrate external APIs and partner services;
• Support asynchronous processes and event-driven interaction via Kafka and WebSocket;
• Work with MySQL, MongoDB (Mongoose), and Redis;
• Analyze existing monolith, perform careful legacy code refactoring, and reduce technical debt;
• Participate in the design of APIs, business logic, and internal service interactions;
• Monitor system quality and stability through logging, error handling, and metrics.

• Commercial backend development experience with Node.js of at least 4 years;
• Confident knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript;
• Experience with Koa or similar backend frameworks;
• Proficiency with MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis;
• Understanding of asynchronous architecture and event-driven approaches;
• Experience with Kafka, WebSocket, or other message brokers and real-time technologies;
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes;
• Skills in API design and external service integration;
• Experience supporting production systems and resolving incidents;
• High level of autonomy and responsibility;
• Nice to have: experience in gaming, esports, or marketplace products, understanding of game economy and monetization mechanics, experience with payment systems and Steam API, experience with gradual legacy system refactoring, practice of implementing observability approaches like metrics, alerts, and tracing.
