Praktika is an AI-native education company that provides language learning experiences by bridging the gap between traditional apps and human tutors through a fully automated tutorship platform powered by generative AI avatars.

• Design, develop, integrate, validate, and operate new projects, features, bug fixes, and improvements;
• Architect and implement backend solutions using Python, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Valkey, Kafka, Amazon SQS, and various transport protocols;
• Collaborate with mobile, web, data, product, and design teams on integrating new solutions;
• Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code following clean architecture principles and ADRs;
• Write unit, integration, and e2e tests to ensure solution quality, reliability, and support CI/CD;
• Manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, containerization with Docker, and deployments with AWS ECS or EKS;
• Apply DevOps best practices to improve scalability and reliability;
• Automate incoming requests and contribute to internal systems, scripts, and libraries;
• Work with AI experts to build data-driven approaches to language learning;

• 8+ Years of backend development experience with strong Python expertise;
• Proven track record of leading B2C/Consumer-facing projects with measured business impact;
• Experience with ASGI frameworks like FastAPI or Starlette;
• Experience with SQLAlchemy or other ORM technologies;
• Strong knowledge of designing, maintaining, and optimizing PostgreSQL and MongoDB;
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and system design;
• Solid understanding of clean architecture and writing testable code;
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments;
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
• Nice to have: AWS infrastructure and DevOps experience, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, genuine passion for EdTech and AI.
